OUR HORSES
Berta
Age: 17. Born January 1, 2006.
Breed: Percheron
Berta has been with us since 2012, she is a registered percheron and is one of our main sleigh and riding horses.
Kitty Kat
Age: 34 (estimate). Born 1989?
Breed: Percheron
Kitty has been with us almost 20 years. Kitty has trained many drivers and horses how to do their job over the years. She is living a semi retired life now.
Horace
Age: early 20s
Breed: Percheron
Horace came to us from the auction with the name "Horse" in 2017. It took some time to get his health back but he is now one of our main sleigh and riding horses. We also found out he worked in film and TV before coming to us.
Kite
Age: 20. Born 2003.
Breed: Percheron/Shire
Kite has only been with us since December 2020. She is Kitty Kat's daughter, so when we found out she was available we decided to bring her home to join the herd. She is just like her momma!
Murrin
Age: 15. Born 2008.
Breed: Gypsy Cob
Murrin has been with us about 6 years now, she is a favorite because of calm nature, but don't let that fool you! She has plenty of get up and go!
Dune Buggy
Age: 21. Born 2002.
Breed: Arabian x Quarter Horse/Morgan
Dune is a very fun little guy, he has all the buttons. He is our go to kids pony that has taught many people to ride.
Lacey
Age: Ancient
Breed: Arabian
Lacey is on the full retirement pension plan. She loves to be groomed and pampered and will stand patiently for hours when kids brush her.
Bonnie
Age: 3. Born June 17, 2020.
Breed: Percheron x Friesian
Bonnie is out of our mare Jinx. She is a sweetheart and loves attention. She especially loves kids. We are really looking forward to her growing up and becoming part of the working herd.
Henry
Age: 3. Born June 15, 2020.
Breed: Percheron x Friesian
Henry is out of our mare Gamble. He likes to cause trouble and is very full of himself. He also likes to put everything in his mouth, you have to watch your fingers with this one! He is growing very quickly and we are excited to see how he matures.
Jinx
Age: 15. Born 2008.
Breed: Percheron with a tiny bit of Quarter horse
Jinx came to us from the auction 3 months pregnant and foaled a beautiful filly in June 2020 (Bonnie). Jinx had some training as a youngster but has been a brood mare most of her life. We look forward to furthering her education and hopefully we will see her on the sleigh next winter.
Gamble
Age: 15. Born 2008.
Breed: Percheron with a tiny bit of Quarter horse
Gamble came to us from the auction 3 months pregnant and foaled a lovely colt in June 2020. Gamble also had some training as a youngster and has also been a brood mare most of her life. Hopefully we will see her on the sleigh next winter too.
In Memory of Tootabelle
February 14, 2005 - January 25, 2021
Breed: Percheron
Tootabelle, you were a force, one of the most powerful horses I've ever known. You took the largest of men to the tiniest of little humans on your back, your gentle nature made them all feel at ease. You took your job on the sleigh very seriously, high stepping and strutting your stuff through the village with pride. Tootabelle, you have left us far too soon, the giant hole you have left can never be filled. We will miss you everyday. Until we meet again friend.
