HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDING EXPERIENCES

Experience Horseback Trail Riding in beautiful Sun Peaks Resort, BC with the expert guides of Sun Peaks Stables. Our trail rides take place in small groups and are suitable for beginner to advanced riders.

All Horseback Trail Rides start with meeting your horse and helping to groom and saddle them. At the end of the ride you are welcome to groom and assist with water buckets, hay, etc. or just hang around with your new friend for some pictures and pats. Actual time in saddle varies according to rider ability and other factors.

Village Views and Valley Trails – 2 hour experience

Take in the Resort and views of the Village as we travel from the Burfield Stables using a mix of ski and walking trails to explore the natural beauty that surrounds the community. We often see wildlife including Mule Deer and Black Bears. Riding time approximately 90 minutes.

Mt. Morrissey Summit Ride– 4 hour experience

Ride the forest trails of Sun Peaks’ lesser known gem, Mt. Morrissey. Take in spectacular views of the Village and Golf Course while enjoying the natural surroundings, flowers and wildlife. Approximate riding time of three hours with an opportunity to dismount and have a break during your experience.

Policies

Guests must be at least 10 years of age to participate. Waivers and consent are required. Helmets are mandatory. Advanced booking required. A minimum of two guests are required for a tour to operate, with a maximum of six guests per group.

It is the responsibility of each guest to accurately report to the guide(s) their level of skill and experience in horseback riding: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

All guests agree to follow and abide by the guide’s instructions and directions while participating in horseback riding. Please wear long pants and bring a light layer. Riders require close toed footwear (hikers or runners are fine). It is the responsibility of participants or the responsible parent/guardian to accurately report and disclose any conditions, impairments, allergies, etc. that may adversely affect ability to safely participate in horseback trail riding.

The operator reserves the right to cancel without notice due to weather, trail conditions or other circumstances. Fully refundable up to 48 hours before tour, inside 48 hours tours are non-refundable.
